Spalon Montage

I had made 2 appointments to run concurrently on December 4. We were visiting the area & would be leaving the next day. My husband was getting an hour massage and I a pedicure at the same time so neither one of us would have to sit around and wait on the other. Less than 40 minutes before our appointment I received a call and was told the woman who was doing my pedicure would be ‘working in’ someone else and would need to make my appointment 45 minutes later than my scheduled time. I told her that would not work for me because of my husband’s appointment. Her suggestion was that we schedule another day! Nope wouldn’t work. We don’t live in the area. Her response “sorry”. Now I know things happen, however to cancel our appointments because someone else wanted to be worked in is horrible service. I made those appointments ahead of time assuming that this salon was a quality, customer driven establishment. I was misinformed. They don’t seem to care about their customer. I wonder if this work-in we got bumped for was a friend of the employee. I could never recommend because who knows if you’ll actually be seen!

My daughter went into the Edina location and had Aqua hair Extensions put in and not even a week later they started to fall out. Not only did they fall out but she was quoted the wrong price when she had her consult and then after the appointment the stylist said “we ordered the wrong length and it will be $200 more.” She is a young adult and saved up for this appointment. And now she is two weeks out and her extensions are falling out. She just started college and away from home, with hair falling out. Unfortunate situation. Beware

Spalon Montage Edina is a fabulous place to get a massage and relax. I appreciate that they give you robes, towels, slippers, and lockers. It's good to take a shower before your massage, so your muscles are already relaxed. They have a really nice room with magazines, free drinks, and a fireplace to wait in before and after your massage. A few things that could have been better are (1) the shower water took a long time to get hot and (2) the fireplace area used to be even nicer. They used to have TV screens showing a loop of tropical fish swimming around and I think in the past they used to have free cookies set out and (3) they have never offered me aromatherapy. Essential oils like lavendar don't cost that much, so they should offer this and (4) the prices are high. I understand that there were shipping and container issues during Covid that made prices go higher, but the only material needed for the massage is lotion/ oil. There is free parking right across the street.
